Guess what I’m doing? That’s right, watching Guess Who? No, not Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? No, the Ashton Kutcher-Bernie mac remake. I have developed this weird penchant for Ashton Kutcher movies. I hated his character on that 70’s show but in movies? Hi-larious! I’m supposed to be working and watching but apparently I’m incapable. Ben keeps telling me to move over so he can see my monitor too.
Phase two of my top secret t-shirt project is complete. It’s pinned and ready to sew and I’m hoping to get to in tonight. Phase three is the going to be the hardest part of the whole project but if I can get it done by end of week I’ll be happy.
I also did some cooking today today. Baby Chase’s nose is running and she’s getting a cold poor thing. She doesn’t even want her pacifier because her nose is so stuffy. I put a little baby vick’s on her chest and she finally fell asleep the poor dear. I suppose there’s not a whole lot that I can do for her so I decided to make a nice wholesome vegetable broth for her. I’ve been coveting Kylie Kwong’s new cookbook Simple Chinese Cooking and I found it yesterday at the library. I used her recipe for vegetable broth and it smells delicious. It has all kinds of good things in it like ginger and garlic to get her defenses up. We’ll have it for lunch tomorrow and if I get up the energy we’ll check out the new Thai Philippine Oriental market and get some noodles for our soup.
I was taking pictures of how much broth it made and decided just to take a picture of the fridge’s contents. We have plenty of cured meats and condiments to go around. The bowl is full of cookie dough I made earlier. I’m trying to tweak the recipe for gingersnaps to make them adaptable to being a slice and bake cookie of sorts. They are much less forgiving but I think it can be done.
The movie is over and so is this post! Two hours wasted, so much for working and watching.
