So we’re back from T-Day. It was nice to see everyone but we’re glad to be home. The dogs were already missing us and there is much to do around the house. The construction phase of the stocking project is complete. I couldn’t find the fringey type of embellishment that i wanted but I’m pleasantly surprised by what a little metallic rickrack can do. All that remains is to figure out how I want to get our names on them. Im not in a rush to get to that though. I ended up taking yet another trip out today for the bells. I resisted as long as I could but I was just itching to shop. I compromised with myself on the crafts store. What I really wanted to do was to go to the mall even against my better judgment. I went to Burlington Coat factory too. I was blown away by the sheer amount of stuff they have in there. Maybe blown away is the wrong term. I was totally overwhelmed. The baby department was just a giant mishmash of every imaginable baby item. There were things I saw there that were definitely cheaper than at BRU but I don’t know if I’m brave enough to go back. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before.
Browsing around on the internet I came across this. As it’s getting to be time for Chase to need a new blankie I’ve put together a nice little assortment from my stash to put this together. It looks easy enough. I had to add one more fabric at the last minute so it’s still in the machine now. I’ll take a picture of my (Chase helped too) choices tomorrow. I bought the chenille for the back today and it’s oh so soft. I might have to make one of these for me and Ben.
Tomorrow, I start studying.
