We got all dressed up today and went to the mall to see santa. We waited in a not too long line and Chase was really excited laughing and pointing and smiling and waving.. and then we got right up to santa and she got a death grip on Ben’s sweater. She never even cried because she refused to have anything to do with the fat-man or his knees. So I sat with santa and Chase sat with me. There’s always next year right? Although I have to say that there were plenty of older kids that sat on their moms laps instead of Santa’s so maybe some kids just aren’t cut out for it?Anyway you can have a look-see. I’m not sure if that was sarcastic, but hooray anyway. She looks nice.
oh come on! the man had ornaments hanging from his mustache. Chase is no dummy, I wouldn’t have sat on his lap either. Besides, she knows where all her gifts are come from.
Okay, first off, the picture of her looking like “What is going on?” might be the cutest picture in the history of pictures. Second, who puts bells on their beard? Freak. Third, why do you look happier to be on Santa’s lap than the babe? Fourth, I love the Santy reference….which probably went unnoticed to anyone who has not read or seen the original “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” recently. (I turned that into a lesson character traits on the last day before break. There’s nothing quite like “lesson planning” that requires pressing play.
