We returned a little while ago from a surprise birthday party for Sarah. Parties are fun but they’re more fun when they’re at someone else’s house (especially Nadia’s). I have learned that surprises are really hard to pull off but I can think of at least two occasions upon which I have been really truly caught off guard by a surprise party. Once, when we were in like grade 6 or 7, Chelsea threw a surprise birthday party for me in her basement in the house on… geez what street was that? Pine… something like that anyway. That was the best. I was totally snowed. I had a surprise baby shower too that I had no idea about even though I inadvertently discovered the initial plans. Looking back I should have known something was up. Ben doesn’t usually get lost like he did on that day but I was probably too tired to be suspicious.
I’m quite sure I had more to say but alas I see that I have way overshot my 12am goal of bedtime and if i stop now can try to shoot for 1230.
