It’s a good thing we live in Baltimore or I wouldn’t necessarily be able to coordinate errands with duck spotting but lucky for Chase it’s water, water, everywhere. We stood in the gale force winds atop the precipice overlooking the millstream at whole foods trying mightily not be be blown down the embankment but we saw the ducks dangit, ducks! (More pics from the spycam.)
I spent some more time tinkering with the camera. You can see a range from way overexposed to way underexposed, I’m trying to find the sweet spot. I kind of like the way they look overexposed but maybe not that much. It’s too bad, they’re really cute otherwise. I like the one where she’s standing too but it’s out of focus. Sometimes I think you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t when it comes to amateur photography and focus. Autofocus ALWAYS focuses on the wrong thing when you’re tying to catch something really cute and focusing manually is tricky but ultimately it’s better I guess to be a little out of focus than to be able to read the words on top of the television buttons while Chase is just a blur. Chase got a couple of new (to her) toys. She played with the accordion briefly but nothing could top the plain plastic balls, go figure. I swear that store is a treasure trove of toys, we never come back empty handed and the stuff is awesome and a fraction of the price it would cost new.
