Sweet Jumper :: New Look 0557

library-8181I bought this pattern after seeing it put together on a display at the fabric store.  It’s a simple and sweet jumper, nothing too fancy but there’s something really special about it.  It has a little bit of a vintage feel to it.  I think it has something to do with the length.  I love it, I think it’s super sweet and I’m going to make another one tonight… or tomorrow with owls!

For the jumper, I chose a flannel.  Why flannel?  I saw this fabric lying on the overstock shelf beside a really cute coordinating knit (that I used to do a top later) and that’s how I chose.  Before I ever touched the fabric on the bolt.  But I figure, you can wear a flannel shirt so why not?  It looks comfy anyway.  I went out later and bought some tights but I’m thinking knee socks are cute.  I just have to find them in the right color, white I guess if nothing cuter turns up.

And there’s the top in the last picture.  Also easy to put together in a short amount of time AND part of the same pattern.  Awesome.  Have I mentioned that I love simple quick projects?  I finally got to give my button kit a go too and made some covered buttons for the front.  I recommend this pattern as quick with clear and easy to follow instructions.  It’s a keeper.
