De-Stashing Giveaway!!

library-8227It is with great excitement, and some shame, that I bring this to you.  I realize it’s kind of late in the game to get the ball rolling on the pyjama party sew-along but anytime is a good time for pyjamas really.  Which is probably partly why I have not one, not two, but three copies of Simplicity pattern number 2900.  It’s a reissue of a vintage pattern from 1952 for a layette.  The reason that i have three is also probably partly because I am partial to slip like things as nighties but I think I’ll be ok with just the one pattern.  So the other two are all you!

This is your moment to put together something really cute for that sweet little niece you’ve been putting off sewing for at no cost to you… you know who you are.  The holidays are coming after all.  The pattern runs from preemie through 18 months and includes a dress, three different slips, kimono, bib, booties, bonnet and something called a sacque.  Looks like a bed coat.  Is that what those things are called?  Maybe just calling it a light jacket sounds more enticing.

I haven’t given it a test drive yet but it looks simple enough and got a favorable review at Patternreview.  So come on, you know you want it and if you don’t you know someone that does… pass it on.  I’m even footing the bill on postage to anywhere.  Is that enough to get two people to comment on this post?  I hope so.  The patterns go first come first served.
