We hit the pumpkin patch today. Not the best idea after a day of torrential downpours but we made the most of it. Plus, I wasn’t that lady that wiped out in the mud. Nope, not this time.
I had one of those grass is always greener moments and decided to try North Run instead of just going to Webber’s. That was a mistake. Now I know better and also feel compelled to go to Webber’s before it closes for the season. I’ll probably try to squeeze in another visit sometime this week against my better judgment. I’ll figure it out.
Chase did have a good time though. We did the hayride, checked out the pumpkin patch, the corn teepee and the animals. You know the saying happy as a pig in… well, you know. Check out this fine specimen. Knee deep in muck and playing with a ball? No, that’s not a ball he’s munching on an equally mucky pumpkin. Chase couldn’t take her eyes off it. She kept telling me how yucky it was. I sorta felt the same way but decided that I still like bacon.
The real reason that I prefer Webber’s is that they have cider donuts. What’s the point of getting there early if there are no donuts? I like their super slide too. Next year I’m just going to keep it simple. Stick to what you know, right?
Little kids and pumpkins = extreme cuteness! Seems like you had a great time!
How wonderful! Looks like a great time! We went down to Miller Farms in Clinton yesterday. They are our Farmers Market folks and have been tugging on us for years to come do the hay ride fun. Wow did we have a good time!
So, carving or not carving? We now have three pumpkins, so I think we will carve one and save at least one for a real, honest-to-goodness home made pumpkin pie for Turkey Day! Go hard or go home, right? :o)
