Christmas came and went. It always goes so fast! Christmas was good. Not great, but good and another step toward getting our little celebration down to a science. This year, I was good right through Christmas Eve. Next year I need to focus my attention on Christmas day. Fatigue was a big problem this year. I needed to have all of my faculties about me to really rally the troops. I should have remembered to turn on the Christmas music in the morning maybe planned something for breakfast, stuff like that. Next year I’ll remember to do that.
Chase really liked her presents and has actually been playing with them but the opening part was a little hollow. I can’t put my finger on it exactly. I don’t know if it’s that you just can’t capture that Christmas spirit with gifts or if it was the overwhelming fatigue. It was nice to see everyone after Christmas though.
I’m curious to see how next Christmas will be different. But right now, there’s no time to dwell on it. I have to turn my attention to birthday festivities! I think I have everything party related under control. I just have to make the cake and buy the balloons. Chase is really looking forward to it and so am I in spite of the fact that I feel vaguely guilty about being so excited to see MY friends at her party.
I have to thank you for all the Christmas wishes! We didn’t send out any cards this year at all but I was thinking of all of you!
