Okay, here's the perfect solution for a sore throat. I had lots as a kid and this worked for me. It is an old wife's solution so hang on. Take the sock from her left foot, not the right mind you, but the left, and wrap it around her throat (or neck!!) and pin closed. Come morning she will no longer have a sore throat. No lie, it always worked for me. The tea is a fantastic soothing idea. She would really enjoy you spooning it to her. Sorry Avery is so fussy. It's the Daddy gene. Maybe you could listen to some soothing music while she trying to sleep and your in the dark. You know. like that rain stuff. I love that Chase can find her way out of a maze. That bodes well for the future.

we use regular tea here. but depending on the kind of tea you probably could add the honey and lemon to it. Maybe even try herbal tea. Let me know how it works if you try it.

Tea's a great idea. I haven't tried it yet I have to find something that I think she'll like. What do you use? Just regular tea or something different?

My parents used to put a big stuffed animal under the mattress that way it raised me higher. I used to get nasty coughs like that and it would be the only way for me to sleep at night. Another thing, I dont know if you tried it yuet but if she likes tea then make her that and slip some honey and lemon in it. Hope she feels better

How awesome that Chase is doing mazes! That IS Ah-Mae-Zhing! :o)

Only other advice doled out by our doc is to raise her head when she's asleep. When Abby was younger it was a pillow under the mattress, but now that she's on a pillow full time anyway it does the trick.

Hope the evening stuff pans out soon - everyone needs their sleep!
