More park pictures! Chase doesn’t get to see her friend from school all that often but when she does she sure does make the most of it. Lots of running, sliding and digging in the sandbox. And when, as it so often happens in Smalltimore, another friend comes running up? Well that’s just the icing on the cake.
So I guess that makes dinner and a movie gravy. Which means that trying to get home sounded a lot like screaming ‘I don’t want to go’. We couldn’t get home and into bed fast enough but we managed. Out like a light she was and tomorrow she’ll still be talking about how much fun she had and wanting to know how soon she can do it again.
I should be planning dinners for the week right now instead of writing this but I think I’ve mostly got it under control. I think it’s going to be a no new recipes kind of a week.
Monday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. This is my standby meatloaf recipe. I make it using sage and I like it because it doesn’t come out tasting like a giant meatball. As it turns out, I don’t like meatloaf seasoned with oregano.
Tuesday: Pizza. My go to recipe for pizza. I’ll use one crust this week and freeze one for dinner next week.
Wednesday: Chicken wings, maybe these. Because Chase loves them and, who am I kidding, so do I.
Thursday: Ravioli, salad and garlic bread. I’ll make some kind of sauce with it. Something creamy with cheese to use up a little bit of nice cheese flavored with truffle from TJ’s.
Friday: Whatever’s left over.
Not gourmet but it’s a plan. I figure it will give me a chance to pick up a few things at the store for next week and do something a little more creative. What are you cooking this week?
These girls are too cute.
