Recovering & Kid’s Clothes Week Day 1
I’m still feeling just a little under the weather. Significantly better but not quite right. I’m trying not to stress but the ever growing list of things to do has my stomach in knots even though I know that I don’t need the tension on top of this other nonsense that’s going on. Meanwhile, I promise I’ll catch up with you and have answers to all the burning questions soon. I even planned meals for the week that I have to tell you about. Thanks for all the support!
PS Today is day 1 of Kid’s Clothes Week (check out the button in the sidebar… it’s not October Scrap Buster challenge time anymore!) I have no plan. I did put in my time tonight. Easy was my only criteria. I cut out a simple dress for Chase. I’m thinking about focussing on fall rather than summer because I think these guys have everything they need for this season. But who knows. The weather has been so lousy only time will tell.

There’s Always Next Year
Well, happy Mothers Day. I started to enjoy mine around 2, when I finally stopped barfing. I mean honestly, what are the chances of that? Done.
I spent most of today working on a submission for this. I’m exhausted. How did I used to do this all the time?! I wanted to follow up on my post about Chase’s questions but I’m just too sleepy to do that right now. Believe me, I’m more than happy to talk about that. Mostly because the very next day she wanted to know when we could go visit my mother. More big sighs.

Tough Stuff
It finally happened. Chase casually observed that her feet, daddy’s and Avery’s are the same and mine are different. I asked her how they are different and she told me the color was different. And then only 45 short minutes after she went to bed I thought of the response I wanted to give her. Only 45. At least I came up with a response. I’ll be able to cross it off my list when it comes up again.
I wish I could say the same for all of the other loose ends that I need to tie up. And that cradle cap. Argh.

First Berries Of The Season
This photo pretty much sums up our day. A big bandaid, dirty fingernails and a few red berries to eat with dinner. If they’re ripening in the yard they should be at the market for sure this weekend. I’m starting to think about jam. Do you know any place that’s either officially or unofficially growing organic strawberries for pick your own? Rocker Restyle
I finally finished this project. You probably have one of these guys at home It’s a great chair, probably relatively inexpensive and quite sturdy. The problem with these guys is that they come in four shades of hideous. Functional but a little too brown and scratchy. Read the rest of this entry »

Our Girl
She’s so busy. She’s not content with what she’s accomplished so far. She wants to roll, she wants to reach, she wants to crawl. I put her on her play mat and she wriggles right off.She even tries to leverage her toys to get over but she’s not quite there yet. Soon.
