Not too much going on around these parts. Avery is shaking things up a bit. Throwing her body all over the place to get from sitting to her belly. No big head bruises yet, so far so good. She also finally rolled from back to front unassisted a few days ago. I wonder what else she has in the works. (Seen here sporting her Sew Sweet Pepita shirt from the Keys. I may never have run the streets of Key West naked but I still had a good time there).
Check out the size of that berry! I’m getting stuff prepped for our first round of jam. Blackberry (with a few blueberries thrown in for good measure) and peach are first up this year. That leaves raspberry and… I’m not sure what else yet. Last year we made three batches of jam, gave away a few jars and ate every last jar of the ones we kept. We’re down to the last jar right now. So I figure we’ll have to do a little better this year or we’ll run out for sure. Any ideas? Good recipes?
I made it through the whole week of dinners without giving in to take out. Although we did go out for lunch on Friday. I think the kabobs were by far the most successful. I just don’t think I’m a big hunk of roast pork kind of a gal. But nicely seasoned and seared on a hot grill with some veg? Delicious and everybody ate them. I know I’ve mentioned this pan before but it’s a serious workhorse in our kitchen. It made pancakes for breakfast, I flipped it over and made kabobs for dinner. I like feeling like I’m getting my money’s worth.
Will you indulge me for just another 30 seconds?
