There’s Only One Way

To swing a swing.  Apparently.  I really wanted these pictures to be exactly the same but somehow the playground must have changed in the last three years and I didn’t pack the same outfit.  Little bits that were somehow critical.

In any event, swinging looks more like this these days.  I thought it was a hoot to see how big Chase is in the baby swings now.  Avery looks like a waif compared to Chase at the same age and she is so not.  We had a good trip.  We’re all exhausted though and glad to be home.  And not a moment too soon.  This is the weekend of many parties!

I whittled down the photos to a mere hundred or so and uploaded them to Flickr.  It’s been ages since I posted here but I have to get to the laundry and it’s Project Runway night!  I’ll just say that the ride was pretty brutal.  The five hour stretch we drove on the way there was more like 8 with all the stopping.  And the way back?  Well… wow.  That’s all I have to say about that.  We drove right through “God’s Country.”  I know, cause it was posted on a sign.

it’s really crazy when you think about it. Chase, this fantastic sassy little girl was once a happy little chubster in a baby swing only 3 years ago!! Can;t wait to see what Avery will be like in that same short span.

They definitely look like sisters, but different. They are each so beautiful and special! I love how in the picture Avery is looking at Chase. That will be their relationship for a long time: Avery looking up to Chase and checking out what she is doing.

Great being with you today, despite the kid chaos. Hope to do more of it on a regular basis. With just the babies it will be less chaotic…at least for a little while. ;)

It was fun! I hope we didn’t contribute to the chaos too much. Thanks for inviting us. We’ll have to reciprocate one day soon!

No, I thought it was a lot of fun. I thought you may have been overwhelmed with all of the noise between the loud kids music and the kids talking, and then us trying to have an adult conversation! It was nice when the big kids were upstairs playing on their own. Isn’t it lovely that they are old enough to do that now?
