Summer Corn

Makes me feel fine?  Seriously, I’m sorry I can’t help these things.  I think I’d forgotten how good corn could be.  We’ve eaten plenty of it this summer and it’s been good but this was GOOD.  With all the birthday parties this weekend I didn’t make it to the market so we went to a teeny tiny one yesterday.  There were exactly three vendors.  I’ve never been to a market quite so small.  But I did find everything I needed so I guess I can’t complain.

That little baby there still has nary a tooth but she doesn’t let that stop her.  She figured out how to pick up cheerios today and decided that she doesn’t want to be fed anymore.  Now she’s only going to feed herself.  She gums the food to death like a champ.  You want to see some video of Avery eating cheerios, right?  You guys are so good to me.

Here’s a question for you.  I bought a small box of peanuts from one of the vendors because we wanted a snack.  He had about 4 small boxes under a sign that read roasted salted peanuts $1.  They’re yummy.  So, where do you think they came from?  Did he grow them or am is he sharing his bag of planters with me??  What say you?

I bet he bought raw peanuts and then roasted and salted them. Were they better than Planters?

Cute pics of Avery. I know what you mean about them not letting you feed them anymore. Aria needs to hold the spoon and fork too. Sometimes she gets something on it, sometimes she doesn’t. :)

Mmm so jealous about the corn. I am corn obsessed. Definitely one of the best parts of summer. It’s something I miss so much about western mass…lots of farms mean lots of fresh corn.

Great pics of Avery!! Have to say having a baby who can feed themself sounds pretty good after the last 2 hours i had with insatiable baby ;)
