KCWC kicks off today! This week everyone who’s playing along pledged to set aside one hour each day to work on sewing related projects. All I have on my to do list for the week are pants, pants and more pants. Leggings really. We never seem to have enough and the ones that come in the Gerber and Carter’s multipacks are so damn ugly. Functional but ugly.
I like to throw them on over a onesie when I run out of proper pj’s or any time we’re just hanging out. I’ve been thinking about these since the last KCWC. But it’s taken some time to perfect the pattern! So. I traced a pair of my favorite leggings and got to work. I made the ones today out of some waffle knit. Baby longjohns!
I have a bunch of knits in the basement so I’m planning to make a few more pairs. Then I’ll be complaining that we never have enough shirts. Maybe I’ll treat myself the baby to some new t’s to go with them. I hate sewing tiny sleeves.
I finally worked out the pattern in two sizes to share with you! They’re pretty, um, rustic. If you know what you’re doing you can print them and get started. Otherwise you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for the instructions. They couldn’t be easier but I need a little shuteye first.
I’m really looking forward to getting a few more things done over the course of the week. I’m just focusing on the next four days. Maybe then I can build some momentum and get ready for the things on my birthday/Christmas to do list. Ha.
