Avery was still going strong after dinner while the rest of us had the strong urge to be horizontal wrapped in many layers of something warm. Maybe that’s because she wasn’t involved in the many rounds of how many kids can fit in a stroller (sit n’ stand… and stand anyone?) or a wagon or under the play equipment that were played today or that she slept the entire time that we were at the park. We definitely made the most of city living today. I’m tired but I know that the weekend won’t feel like it was too short. And have I mentioned how much she loves her sister?
This is Ben’s special birthday weekend. I’m not going to give him his present early either. I’m going to keep it hidden until it’s time to go to dinner tomorrow. He’s the type of guy that can identify the contents of a gift box just by looking at it. Chase is way more excited about Ben’s birthday than he is. Probably because he’s been talking up his birthday dinner. He picked The Melting Pot for his birthday dinner and Chase is quite enthused about the prospect of dipping cake and marshmallows into melted chocolate.
My big girl is back to her old self today after resting most of the day yesterday. Tomorrow I’m going to work on Halloween related projects. Really, I am. And after that I’m going to start tackling things on my to do list. No, really, I am.
