So she almost never sits down anymore. There is much standing and much crashing to the floor. And it seems that she’s moving from standing to cruising in just a matter of days. It’s really hard to keep up with. I’m glad that at least most of the crashing is now forwards rather than backwards. We were pretty tired of seeing her hit the back of her head on stuff but she seems to have found her center when sitting and moved on to bigger and better things.
We have a rhythm this week! Compared to last week this week is a breeze. Lots of napping and going with the flow and feeling fine. I can only guess at what was going on last week but, whatever that was about, I’m glad it’s all behind us for now. Between naps today Avery was very busy. It’s a ‘when the cat’s away’ kind of a thing. As soon as Chase is at school she gets to work doing all of the things that big sister likes to do. Hiding behind the curtains, playing with the much loved and totally forbidden Polly Pockets. I didn’t believe Ben when he told me what she was doing with the little dolls. Not until I saw it with my own eyes. Someone tell that girl she’s not even one yet.
I should be working on Chase’s costume but I only got as far as choosing the material and starting to cut today. I wanted to finish cutting but it is what it is. I’ll work on it a little more tomorrow. I work best under pressure, right? Or is it just that I never learn? A lot of shiny and blue and sparkles are in the works.
After school, Chase let Avery play with her toys a little and I caught some on video. Playing Polly Pockets with my girls:
