And I’m officially done! I did everything I could to sabotage this project. Everything. I started by not reading the instructions. After reading the instructions I decided not to follow them. Then I committed a series of sewing sins. But there they are and, at the end of the day, I decided not to hate them. They kind of don’t look anything like the picture in the book but the girls will never know that.
Among my sewing sins was choosing that sequiny fabric. Not only is it not suggested for the pattern but it’s a PIA to work with. And that wasn’t my only fabric mistake. The cloth I used for the body had way too loose of a weave. Live and learn. The pattern was easy to work with. Only the hair was a little fiddly. But seriously, if you read and follow the instructions, the pattern is no sweat. Oh, I forgot the flower but if I try to make that now I WILL sew my finger. Plus I already his them in the tree.
So glad to be done! Ben celebrated by falling asleep at 7. I want to go to bed right now so that Christmas Eve will finally be here. I’m looking forward to the roast beast. Merry Christmas!
