Surely it’s the cutest coat she’s ever had. It’s red! I bought it even though it wasn’t even on sale. I think I paid a whole six dollars for it and it was worth every penny. It’s crappy polyester but it has a nice cotton lining. White with red cherries. I mostly love it because when I picked it up I was sure that it was too small. It looked so small on the hanger. I thought there was no way it could possible fit my big girl and lo and behold it did. Then I thought, hmm, she’s still pretty little and I smiled. The weather was beautiful today so we took a little spin around the neighborhood. It looks a little shabby in the winter. It probably looks a little shabby in the summer but you don’t notice so much when everything’s green. I don’t know. What do you see when you sit outside at your favorite cafe? Landscaping or graffiti? It’s all par for the course to me now.
Does that sound negative? It shouldn’t. We walked in the beautiful sunshine to our favorite treat spot for hot apple cider, ran into friends, stopped to look at the big kid school and played on the playground. It’s not negative it just is what it is and maybe I’ve been thinking about it a little more than usual. I don’t think everyone can see the beauty in it. Chase is ready for school and she already knows that R is for row house.
