The problem with doing things is that things get messy. We don’t use the dining room much for dinin’ and yet somehow it seems to me that it’s messier in there than it would be if we did. That’s a G rated picture right there because after the painting, the paper punching, lacing, and easter egg sculpture making the dining room table looked more like this.
She’s so cute that I couldn’t find it in me to tell her that purses go on over your shoulder rather than over your head. The girl is not afraid to accessorize. Earlier today she found herself involved in a screaming match of tug of war over some mardi gras beads with another toddler. She continues to take dress up very seriously.
We’re managing to keep busy around here even if it means building endless color changing volcanoes and making my peace with it turning into this. Not much computer time this week. I’ll be back in a few days!
I started out trying to take pictures of Avery playing with the little purse but when I uploaded to my computer what I found were pictures of Avery spending time with some of her best buds. Anyone who has spent any time with us knows that Cricket’s not down for tea parties. Those two seem to have an understanding. My tiny Dr. Dolittle.
All day Avery toddles around the house finding things to dress up in. Necklaces are a big favorite. She also likes hats and bracelets. Last weekend we went to a super birthday party with a superhero theme and she was lucky enough to get her very own tiny cape. Every time she sees it she demands that I put in on her. She kills me with cute.
Also, I think it’s time for the giant misshapen wreath has to go. And I have some big plans for projects in the kitchen. If only I could find my sketchbook. I went out and bought it especially for recording my big ideas. I Used it once to sketch the strawberry shortcake hat and never saw it again. Maybe it ran away.
Sketchbook, come back! I promise to be good this time.

A few weeks ago I entered a contest to win one of these bags. I mean why not, right? It’s not like I was pining away for one or anything but they’re cute so I went for it.
