These are the beginnings of our Easter project. So far the project involves several styrofoam eggs, wooden skewers, and sparkly paint. All 10 eggs are skewered and painted, phase 1 complete. Phase 2 is going to involve some ric rac, maybe some googley eyes and possibly some pins and beads. Oh and that paper grass and some ribbon too. I have lots of ideas.
Meanwhile we’re hanging up our tap shoes and, for now, trading them in for soccer cleats. Soccer starts tomorrow. I’m surprised that she’s sleeping at all. She was pretty revved up no matter how hard I tried to instill that we have to be there at 9:30 AM. I’m not sure how I’m going to fit in all the other usual Saturday kinds of things around that. If I went to bed at a reasonable hour I could get up and hit the ground running but I don’t think I’ll do that. I think I’ll stay up just a little longer and watch another episode of Downton Abbey. It’s a nice follow up to Doc Martin. I think you should add both to your queue right away.
I dragged first one than another ride-on car up fron the basement the other day. Avery is having a lot of fun climbing on and off, rolling backwards and using them as skateboards. She’s a tiny little daredevil. She’s a daredevil and all of a sudden Chase is interested in rolling around the house on one of these tiny little cars. The gridlock is constant.
Let’s see that’s what we’re making, doing and watching… I’m reading too. I’m working my way through Ordinary Love and Goodwill, by Jane Smiley and really, really enjoying the read. What have you been up to?
