So how about a little show and tell? I’ve found a few good things recently. Too good to pass up. Like this little camera. One window lets you look through at your subject and the other shows a series of slides of a trip to the zoo like a view master. And the flash bulb turns! It’s pretty cool.

Cake! Let Them Eat It.

One Last Paper Doll… I Think
I think we might be moving on here. Paper doll production slowed waaaay down. I don’t think I posted this one yet though it’s been hanging around here for a couple of days. Chase is spending more time painting and drawing I think and today she asked me to show her how to draw different types of flowers. That’s the second time in recent days that she’s asked me about duplicating something that she sees in her own work. Fair Rapunzel

In the Works
Chase has been bugging me to make her a doll for a week or two. I took out the Martha Stewart Craft Encyclopedia that I have, not surprisingly, never used. The doll, of course, is a princess. Morning
Morning was all mismatched socks and paper crowns and lots of books. I took all of the books off of the living room shelves and organized them. It’s true. I did. And the girls amused themselves. 6.19.11.Paper Dolls of the Day

Happy Fathers Day
I never do a great job with fathers day but I’m happy to report that, even if not entirely surprised by them, I think that Ben actually liked his gifts this year. And I even got him with the matchy matchy because who can resist dressing up to please your adorable girls? 6.18.11.Paper Dolls of the Day
We worked on these together today. One regular princess and one butterfly fairy princess. She drew and cut the dolls and I worked on the dresses though she did help me some with the decorating. I was going for a peter pan style collar but it kinda just ended up looking like boobs. The green doll has a jewel encrusted necklace and you’ll notice that the nose on the big green doll is actually another tiny girl. The land of fairies!
