We’ve been here five years and it’s now, just maybe, starting to shape up. Ben installed some shelves for me! Sorry no staging here, oversized bags of pretzel chips and Cheerios, it holds them all. And my Pyrex, my pyrex, it’s glorious!
It’s pretty great to actually have my cookbooks in the kitchen too. The dining room was close but the kitchen is better. AND did I mention that the shelves were purchased and installed on the same day. You really can’t ask for much more than that.
I found spots for some of my other found treasures too. See? There was a reason I kept all of those tiny unusable pieces of Le Creuset around all this time. I still need to reorganize the bottom shelves underneath there. The second shelf is full of empty glass canisters and I’m not quite sure what to do with them anymore. I can’t really figure it out. I used to use them to store flours and rices and I also used to spend waaay too much on pantry items that went largely unused. Now that I’ve scaled everything way back I might not need them anymore but still. I have to think about it.
I found the little clock at the Fells Point Flea this weekend. Some time this week I’ll show you the other things we found. I think the clock is perfect, it plugs in and sounds just like the one that we had at our cottage. It’s perfect except the cover fell off. I’ll try a little white glue and see if that will fix it. I’ve been fixing a lot of stuff with white glue lately. I only ever have a second to do a task and it’s good for a temporary fix as it is almost always the case that I don’t get it quite right the first time around.
