As opposed to my (plain old) favorite picture from this weekend is lousy and out of focus because I was too lazy to get up from my bench in the shade. That’s ok though because we got out to the park even if I did want to turn around halfway from where we parked to the actual playground. I had a giant jug of Gatorade, I was brave, I pressed on. While we were walking Chase told me that her favorite, favorite flowers are buttercups. How sweet is that? I don’t ever want to forget it.
Did you have fun this weekend? We stayed pretty close to home and didn’t do much. I did have something of an epiphany about my kitchen curtains however. I’ve been thinking for a while that I want to do something with patchwork but couldn’t work out what exactly. Then I found a whole pile of cloth napkins from the 70’s and thought, why not? I’m not sure how I’ll piece them all together yet but I’ve got one huge window so hopefully the scale will be ok. The trick is to not make it look like just 70’s goldenrod. I have to bring it into the 21st century a little bit somehow. Ideas?
So you know about my thing about vintage Fisher Price toys. I might try selling them on ebay… I can’t pass them up when I see them for a dollar or two but I’d like to get them out of here before my children get too attached. I gave the phone a pass though because I’ve been looking for an excuse to catch Avery saying Hewo?! on video for a while. I love it.
