Take Me To The Book Thing

I enjoyed this article from The Times.  Check it out if you get a chance.  I thought I’d share that with you and this (partial) list of classics appropriate for grades 2-8 in a rough progression through those grades from low to high.  This is a list of some titles that were requested through a grant writing process but I found it interesting to see the titles on the list and thought I’d share it.  There are some challenging titles on the list and some of my favorites too.  The list brought back some good reading memories.  I can remember reading The Indian In The Cupboard and loving it.  Gosh, and it was a “boy” book at that.  What are your early reading memories?  I might just print this out and keep it in my pocket.
