I should have had this post written an hour ago but my youngest child still refuses to sleep. Pull ups drive her crazy but changing sheets in the middle of the night makes me crazy. I’m not sure what we’re going to do about that. I’ve been trying to figure it out for weeks now. It seems to be all quiet now though, phew.
So A Day Out With Thomas is a total racket. The tickets cost a fortune and you’re really only buying admission to a short train ride and the gift shop. Unless you’re two and you really, really believe in Thomas. Because then you think it’s pretty awesome. An older kid would be way happier with a Marc ticket to DC I think. Ben and Avery had a lot of fun… but if I’d stayed home with Chase who would have taken pictures?
Avery wanted her picture taken at every opportunity. Chase, not so much. I think she could mostly see through the whole production though she chose to have fun anyway. I love that she knew it was a special day for Avery and went out of her way not to ruin it for her. She’s a good big sister. She’ll get her turn for a day out this weekend when we go see Mary Poppins. We’re both really looking forward to it.
Avery had a great time on the train ride, giving her ticket to the conductor and having her picture taken with Sir Topham Hat plus we avoided the gift shop. Overall it was a success but unless baby #3 loves Thomas too we won’t be doing it again.
