At the pool I double parked and herded the crew inside. We were only there for 5 or 10 minutes but it was long enough for me to start feeling totally stressed that I had the baby out in the heat. It wasn’t that though. I bet that if I hadn’t a) parked in the fire lane b) been worried about Avery totally throwing a fit about not being able to stay c) eaten breakfast I probably would have been less of a basket case. I wasn’t doing any better two hours later when all of those things (except for the fire lane part because I found a prime spot!) were still true AND I couldn’t find my big kid. Argh! Bedtime is like valium though isn’t it? I feel so much better now.
Me and Chase have been using the paints that Martha gave us on all kinds of things. Right now we’re working on painting another little house for their room. What I really want is a vintage printer’s box but the only one I ever found cost 30 bucks and was too heavy for me to carry home at the moment. It seems like 30 bucks is a fair price but I was way too pregnant to schlep it when I came across it. So I keep adding these. We are drowning in a sea of too tiny things. In theory these little curios will keep it all under control. The others are all white so we decided to jazz this one up a bit. Also, I can’t find any white acrylic paint.
What’s on your to-do list for tomorrow? I have to figure out if Avery has strep or not, get Chase to swimming lessons and lacrosse and Ben has a guitar lesson. That kind of sounds like a lot. I gotta remember to eat my cheese stick before I leave the house.
