Another busy day. Baby Bee had a doctor’s appointment this morning where I found out that her insurance is inactive. Not just that it’s inactive but that it’s been that way since July. Hahhahaha. But, no, not a joke. Awesome. So that has to be sorted out.
After lunch a fun outing seemed like a good idea so we drove over to Cylburn arboretum. It was a much needed respite. A few minutes to gather my thoughts while the littles ran around. I even closed my eyes on the picnic blanket for a second though. Just a second.
It’s beautiful there. We had a small picnic, we sketched, hiked and toured the gardens. Ok, Chase sketched and I drew pictures of ponies (with wings!) for Avery. They ran and ran and were thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day. Very, very tired which is always a blessing and a curse. On an only marginally related note Avery came downstairs just now and asked me what I was watching on tv. Are you eating peanuts she asks. The incredulity in her voice was priceless. Are you eating peanuts?!
Lunch was almost foiled today but I managed to reheat some leftover pasta. I really had to hustle for it. I know how it happens… how lunch gets skipped. The kids get fed and then immediately there’s another pressing concern. Bennett needs to be fed, or needs a diaper or needs to sleep. When that’s done so are the girls or there’s yet another pressing concern of some sort. Some days are one pressing concern after another. Most days in fact. Anyway. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Check, check, check.
Today is kind of special. It’s out eighth anniversary. Eight years. Amazing. And it’s STILL raining on the 14th. They say rain on your wedding day is a sign of fertility you know. I thought it was just an old wive’s tale.
