We made it through our first day at home all together! We played in a box, compared toes and all the while felt like that giant baby yawn (only way less cute) but we survived.
For the first time ever I stayed the entire recovery period in the hospital. Man, but I did miss home. Did I ever miss my bed. I didn’t realize it until I crawled under the covers for a nap this afternoon. Hoo boy. Good bed. Read the rest of this entry »

In the summer, reminders about how life is so, so good come fast and furious. The trees fill in and make shade, our “garden” grows green things whether in the form of flowers or otherwise and everyday I think, man, hanging out with friends is such a special treat; and then, as it turns out, we very often get to do it again the very next day. Happy mother’s day (weekend). How are you spending yours? I’ll be spending mine wondering when I’ll become a mother… again. We’re ever so ready. Except for the whole vacuuming part. I still have to do that. Also, so far, I’ve enjoyed a pre natal massage and eaten half a pizza. Off to a good start. Have a great weekend!

This is maybe the coolest thing we’ve ever bought for a dollar. It’s like the borax crystal projects that we’ve tried. You set up the paper strips in the plastic tray and pour in the solutions. It was easy enough for Chase to put together with a little help. And it started “blooming” in about two hours. She’s going to be so excited to see how it changed over night!
