I’ve been a terrible blogger lately. Things were going so well and I was meeting new people and learning interesting things and suddenly it became overwhelming and a little bit scary. And here, as it’s happened so many other times before, I find myself not doing much of anything and not doing much of anything well. So I’ve decided to go back to basics. I realized that I wasn’t reading anymore. I used to have a whole roster of favorite blogs that I loved to read and, while I’ve met new people and discovered lovely new blogs, I miss my old friends. So I logged into Bloglovin and loaded in my top five old reads, the blogs that inspired me way back when. Now, let’s see if I can get my mojo back. I already feel inspired. Book lovers like me won’t want to miss this amazing family library project that Angry Chicken is working on.

I added the Google Friends Connect widget a few weeks ago but forgot to tell you about it. I like to use it because it’s the very fastest way to add sites to your reader. I used to have this elaborate system of bookmarking and then going back to add stuff to my reader later. This is way better. Are you using the Google reader? You probably should be. If you’re using Gmail, you’ll see a link for “reader” in the upper left hand of the page when viewing your inbox. Read the rest of this entry »
