Barely A Dent

And to think it's just an apple peeler

We broke out the old-timey apple peeler and used a few apples and I only cut myself once. I think last year I cut myself two or three times on that stupid thing. Progress! Also, only one apple completely fell apart. Chase is finally able to smoothly turn the handle. Apples and Apples and Apples


I love apple picking. I would love it more if the apples were less expensive than they are at the grocery store but, still, there’s something about picking the apples right from the tree. More Fall

Today the kids made the smallest leaf pile in the world and jumped into it. Apple Picking

I always look forward to apple picking. It would be cool if we had an orchard closer so we could pick less all at once and go more often. Like when I was a kid and our cottage was next door to an orchard and you could just hop the fence to get whatever you wanted. That would be awesome but, alas, is not the case. Happy Friday

library-8166I love Fridays.  I love Fridays ahead of long weekends especially.  I’m going to try to make the most of this one.  We’ll see how it goes.  I don’t have anything specific planned for the weekend so it’s kind of a toss up as to how it will turn out.  We always seem to manage to come up with something to do.  Like today, we managed to squeeze a little fun out of our errands.  We picked these pumpkins out at Safeway and Chase arranged them just so for the coffee table.   Read the rest of this entry »
